This was my first attempt at creating my own pattern. Now as I sit to write it down, I realize that it might have been helpful to take notes along the way. Anyway, here is what I'm pretty sure I did. If you need clarifications, feel free to leave a comment!
Warm Headband with Button
Small amt. Super Bulky yarn (I used the leftovers from my cowl, Michael's brand Loops and Threads yarn)
Size J (6mm) crochet hook
One large button
Embroidery floss
Embroidery needle
1 dc in third ch from hook, then 1 dc in each remaining ch. (6 sts total)
Ch 2 and turn.
1 dc in first st, 1 dc in each st across
Ch 2 and turn.
1 dc in same st, 1 dc in each st
Ch. 1 and turn
2 sc in first st, 1 sc in each of next 2 st, 2 sc in last st
Ch 1 and turn
1 sc in first st, 1 sc in each st across
Ch 1 and turn
2 sc in first st, 1 sc across, 2 sc in last st
Ch 1 and turn
1 sc in first st, 1 sc in each st across
Ch 1 and turn
Repeat this row for about 38 rows, or until piece's ends just touch around your head.
sc2tog in first 2 sts, 1 sc across, sc last 2 sts tog
Ch 1 and turn
1 sc in first st, 1 sc in each st across
Ch 1 and turn
sc2tog in first 2 sts, 1 sc across, sc last 2 sts tog
Ch 2 and turn
1 dc in first st, 1 dc in each st across
Ch 2 and turn
1 dc in first st, 1 dc in each st across
Ch 2 and turn
1 dc in first st, 1 dc in each st across
Bind off.
Now sew on a button to one end using the embroidery floss and embroidery needle.
